Christmas vacation has finally arrived, and the mass evacuation of Cambridge has begun.

BULLETIN

Early this morning officials at Logan Airport reported several flight cancellations by Eastern and Northeast Airlines. American had not cut out any flights but a spokesman there said cancellations were "likely."

Vacationing students will find driving conditions today "very hazardous" but should have no problems with plane or train reservations.

According to the AAA, the snow forecast for early this morning will make the Massachusetts Turnpike particularly dangerous. The weather bureau at Logan Airport predicted a four inch accumulation beginning between 3 and 4 a.m. with rain or sleet following.

All airplanes should be running on schedule, however, a spokesman at Logan Airport told the CRIMSON yesterday. Weather bureau officials pointed out that the expected storm would not be nearly as bad as last week's, which tied up the airways considerably.
