The mixers planned for this Friday and subsequent Fridays have been cancelled. "I seriously regret this announcement," Mrs. Betty H. Mawardi, Summer School social director, commented yesterday, "but there are no facilities for a dance of that size."
The summer school has grown so large that the mixers must be discontinued, since the largest building available, Memorial Hall, cannot accommodate both students and outsiders who try to attend. Last Friday's crowd pointed up the fire hazard involved.
A series of smaller, more intimate dances for dormitory groups and for the graduate students will be announced later. There will also be four more square dances Tuesday evenings in the Union.
