The varsity fencers will face an uphill struggle this evening when they meet a powerful M.I.T. team at 7:30 p.m. in the I.A.B.
Although the Crimson defeated a fair Brandeis teaam 16-11, and crushed Bradford-Durfee Tech without the services of several regular starters, the squad is pessimistic about their chance tonight.
The team will be in full force, headed by the sabre squad of captain James Pusey, John Kennedy, and Paul Wining, all of whom sat out last week's match. The sabres are the strongest contingent on the squad.
The epee man will be Jon Reckler, Peter Plazza, Nick Spitzer, and Dave McCloskey, and the outcome of the match may well depend on them. Pete Busch, Dave Kirsch, and Fred Boersma comprise the foil segment.
After the M.I.T. match, the Crimson will journey to C.C.N.Y. Saturday.
