Varsity Squash Team Defeats McGill, 7-2

The Squash team dropped the top two individual matches against McGill University Saturday, but won all the others to pull out a 7-2 triumph in the season's opening contest.

Ross and Colin Adair collected the Canadians' two wins, over Vic Niederhoffer and Paul Sullivan of the Crimson. Niederhoffer led by two games to one at the mid-match break, but dropped the fourth game 15-4 and the fifth 15-10.

Sullivan lost in straight games, 15-11, 15-8 and 15-11.

Roger Wiegand, John Vinton, Doug Walter, Lou Williams, Clark Grew, Jay Nelson, and Alec McDonell provided the even Crimson victories which decided the match. McDonell, Wiegand, and Williams won in three games, but all the others needed five.

The team's next match will be Saturday at West Point.
