Fresh from its first Ivy League victory in three years, Harvard's fencing team faces C.C.N.Y. tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the I.A.B. City is a traditionally strong power, although its record this year has not been very impressive. The Crimson squad, inspired by its 14-13 victory over Princeton on Saturday, hopes to improve its present 6-3 record.
Harvard will start a sabre squad boasting two strong candidates for All-Ivy recognition, seniors John Piel and Lajos Heder. Junior James Pusey is the team's third entry in the sabre.
Another All-Ivy candidate, senior Allan Gardner, leads the epee squad. Bill Bennett and Jon Reckler will fence second and third positions.
Captain Larry Johnson heads a foil team composed of John Nelson and converted sabreman Jai Yuh. The already weak foil squad was crippled by academic difficulties at midyears, and Yuh was pressed into action with no previous experience in the weapon.
