Orientation Project To Help Foreigners Meet Students Here

Several organization will next year cosponsor a program to help foreign students adjust to life in the United States through personal contact with American students.

Under the auspices of the International Students Office, PBH, the World Cultural Society, and the Crimson Key will give in June the name of an incoming foreign student to a student volunteer.

The volunteer will write to the student over the summer, answering any preliminary questions he might have, and, if the foreign student so chooses, arrange to meet him when they both arrive in Cambridge in the fall.

Informal dinners and discussions will be arranged for the new students by their hosts, but the aim of the project is to integrate the students more fully into the various aspects of the life of the University, such as extra-curricular activities and social events, and to introduce them to more University students, teaching fellows, and Faculty.

Almost 200 P.B.H. members have responded to a letter calling a meeting on May 17 for interested volunteers.
