Japanese Film

The Summer School will present a special Japanese film--"Kaza-Hana" ("Snowflakes")--at the Brattle Theatre Friday at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free and the public is invited.

The full-length feature in Full Color and Shochiku GrandScope is being shown for the first time in the Eastern United States. Produced by the largest film firm in Japan, "Kaza-Hana" is written and directed by Keisuke Kinoshita, one of Japan's noted names in the movie industry.

Kinoshita has become known for his "Ballad of Narayama," "Twenty-Four Eyes," "The Lighthouse," and "Carmen's Pure Love."

The free showing of the film has been arranged by Kenji Kanesaka, of the Shochiku Co., Ltd., a member of the International Seminar.
