"We'll get 'em Friday," said San Francisco manager Alvin Dark as he stalked off the field at Candlestick Park yesterday. The invading New York Yankees, with veteran lefthander Whitey Ford on the mound, had just beaten Dark's Giants 6-2. The playing was as lopsided as the score indicated.

Dark named Jack Sanford to pitch in the second game, against the Yankees' Ralph Terry.
