Rites Here to Honor George L. Lincoln '95

Funeral services will be held today for George L. Lincoln '95, who taught at the University for 34 years. He died Sunday at the age of 90.

After receiving his A.M. from Harvard in 1897, Lincoln began teaching French at Stanford. He later joined the faculty of the University of Kansas, before coming to Harvard in 1904.

After retiring, Lincoln was a member of the Visiting Committee for Romance Languages and the Harvard Faculty Club. A resident of Brighton, he held life memberships in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and Ateno de Madrid.

Services will be held in Appleton Chapel at 3 p.m. He will be buried in Forest Hills Cemetery.
