Dean Pound Is Ill; Taken to Hospital

Roscoe Pound, Dean Emeritus of the Harvard Law School, was reported is "fair" condition yesterday afternoon at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. He developed an inteutinal aliment Sunday, and is now under close observation.

Dean Pound, who is 92 years old, has been living at the University Infirmary since June.

He was appointed Harvard's first University Professor in 1937, on retiring from the Law School. Since leaving the University professorship in 1947, Pound has published about 250 books and articles, including a Ive-volume work on jurisprudence.
