Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
The Harvard hockey varsity will wend its way northward today to Waterville, Maine--a small town noted chiefly for the enveloping stench of paper mills-- to confront a Colby College sextet. Nicknamed, surely for good reason, the White Mules, the collegians from Colby have a reputation for being "keen" on hockey, according to Crimson coach Cooney Weiland.
Weiland was pleased with his squad's 4-2 victory over Northeastern last Wednesday, but hopes "to iron out a few wrinkles" when Harvard takes the ice against the Mules tonight. This "ironing" will probably take the form of a few personnel experiments, as Weiland indicated he may try Bill Fryer in place of Gordie Price with Gene Kinasewich and Baldy Smith on the first line.
The other top line of Ike Ikauniks, Barry Treadwell, and Billy Lamarche will stay the same, since Weiland doesn't plan to tamper with a good thing. The performances of defenceman Bob Clark and goalie Brandy Sweitzer against Northeastern have eased some of the worries over the Crimson defence.
Tonight's game will probably be a close one as Colby partisans contend that the town's smell has nothing to do with the hockey team. Last year, Harvard's ECAC championship squad had little trouble disposing of the Mules, 7-1, But then last year's team demolished North-eastern, 8-1.
