Baseballers Play Tigers Saturday

If you go by the records, Princeton ought to beat the Crimson baseball team when the teams meet at Princeton Saturday. The Tigers whipped Penn yesterday, 5-1, to take over the Eastern Intercollegiate Baseball League lead with a 4-1 record.

Harvard is currently tied for sixth in the league with a 2-3 mark. Furthermore, the Tigers have beaten two teams, Brown and Penn, who hold victories over the Crimson.

But the Crimson's chances are better than it might appear. For one thing, Princeton's best pitcher, Gerry Skey, who beat both Brown and Penn, won't be on the mound for the Tigers; he's being reserved for their game with second-place Navy on Tuesday, Instead, the Tigers will be pitching either Steve Depperman (0-1;2.25 ERA), or Paul Lahti (2-0; 3.70 KRA).

On the mound for the Crimson will be either Paul Del Rossi or Dick Garibaldi. Garibaldi was scheduled to pitch against B.C. today, with Del Rossi facing the Tigers, but the B.C. game was rained out, and rescheduled for May 13. It's still likely that Del Rossi will start, however
