Johnson Sees Need To 'Bind Wounds'

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 9--President Johnson flew into the South today declaring that the first task after the ballot counting must be to "bind our wounds and heal our history--and make this nation whole."

All along the way, the President flung swipes at Senator Goldwater. Particularly, he tied a "no-sale" tag to the Tennessee Valley Authority, which Goldwater once suggested be sold to private industry.
