Crimson judokai captured three first places in the white belt division to give Harvard the division title in Sunday's John F. Kennedy memorial tournament in Somerville.
Pacing the five-man Crimson team was heavyweight John Elbers, who won the title in his weight class and in the open competition. Elbers' teammates Doug Raymond and Peter Cook swept first and second places in the lightweight class in white belt, the only division in which the Crimson competed.
The JFK tournament was the year's first competition for the 25-member Harvard Judo Club, coached by six-time New England champion Edmund Mede.
