Radcliffe will provide security rooms this spring to reduce stealing during school vacations, Mary H. Winslow, Director of Residence at Radcliffe, announced yesterday.
A small room or closet has been designated in each of the nine dormitories around the Radcliffe quadrangle, she said. They will be used to store students' radios, record players, and other valuables. The rooms are expected to be ready for use by spring vacation.
The master keys used in the rest of the college will not open the locks of the security rooms, Miss Winslow said. At present, three large security rooms in the basements of Cabot. Holmes, and Barnard Halls are used for storage during the summer. These rooms, however, are not conveniently situated for residents of the others dormitories. Nora Ronhovde
