NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Western powerhouse Michigan Tech knocked Ivy champ Brown out of the NCAA championship with a 4-0 victory last night. It was the first shutout in the 18 year history of the tournament, and the first against Brown in 39 games.

Michigan Tech will now face Boston College in the finals tonight. B.C. defeated Western runner-up North Dakota 4-3 Thursday.

Michigan Tech, the Western Collegiate Conference champion, was led by wing Fred Dart, who scored two goals, and goalie Rick Best, who faultlessly handled 20 saves.

No Eastern team has won the NCAA championship in the past ten years. The championship tonight will be played in Brown's Meehan Auditorium before a sell-out crowd of B.C. supporters.
