Offense Sets Grid Records

While everyone was getting cold and wet watching the dullness at the Stadium Saturday, John Yovicsin's Sensations of '66 quietly shattered two Harvard offense records and set the stage for the obliteration of a few more against Yale, this weekend.

On the first play from scrimmage, the 1959 team's rushing yardage mark turned to dust. By the end of the gam,e Harvard had piled up an eight-game total of 2203 yards, eclipsing the old record by 209.

The Crimson also crushed the old total offense record set by Dick Clasby and the 1952 squad The 1966 total so far is 2948 yards, 103 over the former mark.

Cater Lord, who made six catches in the Brown game, is on the verge of breaking Wally Grant's season record of 20 receptions during the 1964 season. The sure-fingered Floridian needs only one more to tie Grant and he should be able to get at least that in the Yale game.

End Joe Crook, who didn't see action against the Bruins but who should start in The Game, has 14 receptions and 4 touchdown catches of his own. Cook needs one more scoring snare to equal the present mark.

Junior quarterback Ric Zimmerman has pitched for seven touchdown this season, just one shy of carroll Lowenstein's 1955 record.
