Brown Captures Ivy Soccer Title

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Brown has again captured the New England Intercollegiate soccer championship and the Ivy League crown. This is the third straight year that the Bruins have been New England champions and their fifth Ivy title in as many years.

Brown was undefeated this year and finished with a 13-0-1 record. An early-season 1-1 tie with Pennsylvania was the only blemish on the Bruin record. Brown was unable to participate in the NCAA playoffs, although a unanimous choice, because of the Ivies' disagreement with the association over the 1.6 eligibility rule.

Harvard finished third in the Ivy League with a 4-2-1. record behind second place Penn. 4-1-2. Harvard was the league's highest scorer with 16 tallies, but was also the fourth highest scored upon, allowing 13 goals.
