LIVE UPDATES: Pro-Palestine Protesters Begin Encampment in Harvard Yard
Fourteen Plympton St. is bracing for an invasion at 7:30 p.m. tonight by hundreds of aspiring journalists bent on entering the CRIMSON's Winter Competition.
The newsroom in the paper's aged building has been cleaned, and an unusually large stock of beer has been put on ice to greet the arrivals, a usually reliable source said yesterday.
Contrary to rumor, Lampoon editors and ROTC cadets will be accepted in the competition, if they wish to learn how to write, photograph, or sell advertising for the collegiate daily, the source said.
Cambridge City Councillor Alfred E. Vellucci, however, cannot join the competition, the source said, explaining that Vellucci would first have to enroll in Harvard College to be eligible for the CRIMSON. Vellucci was not available for comment.
