The Harvard fencing team defeated M.I.T.--for the second time this year--in a 19-8 match at M.I.T.

Particularly strong in foil, the Crimson showed the traditional high spirits which characterize confrontation with the Institute while M.I.T. displayed their usual dispirited attitude, reserved for matches against Harvard.

Foil, which has been Harvard's best weapon all season, was undefeated on a four-way ticket of Art Weissman, Cliff Rnderman, Sam Fouts, and Tom Mistick.

Sabre did O.K. winning six of nine. Bob Barnard took both of his matches, and Ron Winfield won I and lost I.

The outstanding performances of the night were in sabre in two excellent bouts fenced by John Gersh and Pres Abbott.

Epee bit the dust 4-5 with a surprise loss by Harry Jergensen.

The team's next match will be held against Penn next Saturday at the IAB.
