Women's Center Opens as Circles Appear on Brattlewalk

About 50 women celebrated the opening of the new Women's Center in Moors Hall basement last night. The Friends of the Women's Center (W.C.)--an ad hoc group of women--have organized the center.

The Radcliffe Union of Students has provided $600 for painting, furnishing, and carpeting the center, building a library, and starting a newsletter. Nine hundred dollars more is needed for speakers, films, symposia. The Radcliffe Institute, the Graduate Women's Organization, and the Radcliffe alumnae are other potential sources of funds.

The center is now open for all interested groups to hold meetings. As soon as the library is set up the center will be staffed on a regular basis.
