B.U. Upsets Frosh In Overtime, 74-71

The Boston University Frosh rode the scoring of Steve Jones. Walter Chesley and Neil Burns to a 7471 overtime victory over the Harvard Frosh at B.U 's Harold Case Athletic Center last night.

The loss was the first of the season for the Crimson in a game that wasn't decided until the final minute of play One of the key factors in the overtime was a dispute technical foul called against Harvard which gave B.U. a free throw and possession of the ball late on the overtime period.

The Crimson loss came despite the fine all-around play of Bill Carey, who scored 22 points and hauled down 18 rebounds Kevin McLaughlin paced the Harvard scorers with 23 points and Muliufi Henneman also played a strong game for the Crimson.

Jones had 23, Chesley 19, and Burns 18 to spearhead the Terrier attack.

Neither team ever trailed in the game by more than 5 points with the Crimson taking a slim 32-29 halftime lead. It was 67-65 when the Crimson hit a basket to tie the game and send it into overtime.

The Crimson's next outing will be next Tuesday night, when they host Holy Cross at the IAB.
