B.U. Group Forms Committee To Resolve Student Demands

A Boston University meeting of administrators, faculty and student representatives decided yesterday to form a committee of people "agreeable to both sides" to negotiate students' demands concerning recent antiwar protests.

John R. Silber, B.U. president, and three vice presidents attended the meeting, which also included 15 members of the faculty and 15 student representatives.

An antiwar rally at 1 p.m. in Marsh Plaza attracted about 250 people. After learning of the results of the meeting, from 60 to 120 demonstrators marched to Silber's office to protest the results of the meeting. Silber was not available for comment yesterday.

In a meeting last night at Hayden Hall, B.U. students elected five representatives to the committee. They also decided to demonstrate today at the Raytheon Corporation, which makes antipersonnel bombs, and at the roxbury District Courthouse.

Trials Today

Two trials related to B.U. antiwar protests last Thursday and Friday are set for Roxbury District Court today. The two people arrested Friday in conjunction with occupying the office of Stanton Curtis, dean of student affairs, face trial at 9 a.m. They are charged with breaking and entering.

At 2 p.m. today, nine demonstrators charged with breaking and entering at the administration building last Thursday come to trial.
