A federal grand jury yesterday indicted Spiro M. and Monette Pavlovich on charges of falsifying statements in applications for federally insured loans.
Spiro Pavlovich, alias Jason Scott Cord, a Harvard Law School student, was arrested by the FBI December 10 in Cambridge and released on $10,000 bond.
His wife, Monette Pavlovich, a Harvard Business School student who used the alias Cary Monica Cabot, was arrested and released on bail in New Orleans on January 22.
U.S. Attorney James N. Gabriel said last night that the pair will probably be arraigned within the next week, adding that "the trial must come within six months of the arraignment."
Spiro Pavlovich was in indicted on three counts alleging that he made false statements on applications for loans totalling $6,000, presented false identification, and falsely concealed debts totaling $9,400.
