To the Editors of The Crimson:
Bing Crosby earned the love and respect of his family and friends, rose above the seductions of material success and left a lasting and positive impact on three generations while remaining the rarest of blessings: a man of substance with few, if any, enemies.
The captivating and enduring strength of Bing Crosby's music has as its source not only the dignity and relaxed richness of his voice but the honesty and kindness one sensed in the man himself.

Bing Crosby was blessed with a genuine love of life, stability and warmth.
His reflections of these qualities enriched us all and their general elusiveness ensures his memory will endure.

The warm and quiet smile to follow will remain. --David Gullick '79
