The men's soccer and cross-country teams chose captains for next fall's squads at their recent break-up banquets.
The booters elected junior fullback JIM LANGTON [at right], while junior Mark Meyer will lead the Crimson harriers in 1978 competition.
Langton anchored the backline in his first varsity season, helping to turn what appeared to be a weakness in September into a dependable group. The Crimson held their opponents to one or zero goals seven times this season.
Meyer started strong for the cross-country team this fall, finishing in the top 15 against UMass and Providence, but he injuried his ankle as the 1-8 team pulled a quick fade.
