Panarese Voted Captain

Three Named to All-Ivy Squad

Junior Mick Panarese was named captain of the squash team earlier this week. Panarese won six of nine matches this season while shuttling between the third and fourth slots, as the racquetmen compiled an 8-1 record in dual meets.

The team next year will place more emphasis on the "conditioning aspect" of the game, Panarese said. 'This year subconsciously we thought we were so good we just went through the motions in practice. If we lose to Princeton we want to be sure it's because we're a worse team rather than a less fit one," he added.

Although five racquetmen will graduate next season, four of the five top-ranked seniors will return to Hemenway Gym.

Three Harvard players were tabbed for the Ivy League all-star squad yesterday, including outgoing captain Bill Kaplan and individual intercollegiate champion Mike Desauliniers.
