Two thefts occurred last week at Hemenway Gym, a University police officer said yesterday. A leather coat and $50 were stolen on Monday, April 3, between 9 and 11 a.m., Captain Jack Morse of the University police said yesterday.

In the second incident, on March 31, a woman reported a squash racket and sweat suit missing from her locker.

"If there is not very good control, or a close check-in and check-out system, there will continue to be thefts in the locker room," Morse said. Hemenway gym is more prone to thefts than other athletic facilities, he added.
