Martin Jay Wolsky '83 died December 17 after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Wolsky lived in Lionel Hall for a month and a half before his health forced him to withdraw from the College in November.
Paul P. Michalski '83, one of Wolsky's roommates, said yesterday that while Wolsky was at Harvard he studied mathematics. Wolsky was also a Red Sox fan, and used to play golf almost every day in the summer.
Wolsky graduated from Lynnfield High School in Lynnfields, Mass., in June 1979.
Soon after entering college, health problems began to limit Wolsky's activities. "I was impressed with how brave he had to be to do what he did in college," Michalski said.
Funeral services were held on December 18.
