HANOVER, N.H.--The Dartmouth faculty of arts and sciences voted last week to continue Dartmouth's women's studies program for another five years.

Enrollment in the three-year-old interdisciplinary program currently stands at 108 students, Gregory Prince, associate provost, said recently.

In a presentation to the faculty prior to their vote, the chairmen of the program said that women's studies has positively affected education at the college and has encouraged students to study the problems of women, the student paper, The Dartmouth, reported last week.

In a separate motion, the faculty voted to re-evaluate the courses offered by other departments which can be taken for credit in women's studies.

Yale recently joined the University of Pennsylvania as the only Ivy League colleges offering a bachelor of arts degree in women's studies.
