House Playoffs

The House football regular season ended yesterday, but not even the league commissioner knows who will take the field when the playoffs begin tomorrow.

After Kirkland's 6-0 triumph over Leverett and Lowell's 6-6 tie with the combined Dunster- Mather forces yesterday, league commissioner Floyd Wilson did not know which team will qualify for the playoffs.

"I don't know what I'm going to do, "Wilson said. "It's certainly not going to be easy." Wilson said he will decide on playoff seedings by noon today.

Both Winthrop and Kirkland hold 3-1 records in the league's first division with Lowell right behind at 2-1-1. South House (3-0) clinched the other division title last week with a victory over second place Eliot (2-1).

In previous years, the top two teams from each division qualified for the playoffs. This year, though, Wilson has suggested only the top team from each division should qualify.
