LAWRENCE, Kansas--Trespassing charges were dismissed last week against three Kansas University students who were arrested November 13 during a demonstration at the Woll Creek nuclear plant in Burlington, which is scheduled to begin operating in June 1984.
The three students are members of the Kansas Natural Guard (KNG), an anti-nuclear group. The University Daily Kansan reported last week.
Garth Smith, a senior and one of the three, said the group was attempting to plant wheat and cottonwood tree seeds in the area where the cooling basin will be.
The KNG has planned another demonstration for March 28 to commemorate the three-year anniversary of the Three Mile Island incident.
