The Extension School program, which is 72 years old, has expanded in the past two years, adding a Master of Liberal Arts degree and a Certificate of Special Studies in Administration and Management.

Adults education program are thriving at many other universities as well, Boston College's evening school is growing by 5 percent annually, Programs at the University of Pennsylvania, have also grown recently especially the non-credit lower tuition courses. Yale is planning to start a program similar to Harvard's next year.
