NEW YORK--The Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP), the higher-education affiliate of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church, plans to expand its activities to an additional 300 campuses nationwide this fall.
CARP, which already has program at 300 colleges, will sponsor lectures, weekend workshops, and other programs on drugs, alcohol, and "problems of the younger generation" for students, faculty members, and community leaders, a CARP spokesman said.
Campus distribution of the World Student Times, a weekly newspaper that presents the church's views on religious and social issues, would be increased from its present 60,000 to 100,000 or more this year, the spokesman added.
