The Harvard men's tennis team was eliminated from the annual Intercollegiate Tennis Coaches Association National Team Tennis Tournament Saturday morning, losing to Trinity University 8-1 in the tournament hold at UCLA.
Harvard which opened the tournament with an upset win over Miami on Thursday and last to Stanford Friday, gave its only point in number six singles action, when freshman Darryl Laddin beat Dean McBride, 6-3, 6-3 Laddin had not played singles in the previous two matches.
Laddin was also involved in a tight doubles match Saturday, as he and sophomore Larry Scott combined to play Trinity's team of Graceson Underwood and Chris Kenwood to three sets before losing 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. Harvard senior co-captain Rob Loud also had a three set match at number-four singles, losing to Tom Warneke, 6-3, 0-6, 6-3.
