ACSR Open Hearing

The time of the Advisory Committee on Shareholder Responsibility (ACSR) open hearing on Harvard's investments in South Africa has been changed, Chairman Richard B. Stewart said last week.

Stewart said the hearing will be held in Longfellow Hall 100 from 8-10 p.m. on Monday, March 12, instead of from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the same date.

Committee representative Claude Convisser '84 had complained that the original time conflicted with dinner hours in the College dining halls and would reduce student attendance.

The ACSR is a committee of students, faculty, and alumni that evaluates issues of shareholder responsibility and attempts to represent the views of the Harvard community on such issues.

ACSR recommendations are forwarded to the Corporation Committee on Shareholder Responsibility, which has final authority over all shareholder decisions.
