Eggheads Hit the Airwaves

During next week's Geneva summit, the American public will be treated to a heavy dose of Harvard expertise with their morning coffee, as several University professors are slated to appear on local and national TV stations as commentators on U.S.-Soviet relations.

Baird Professor of History Richard Pipes, who served in the National Security Council from 1981-3, will travel to Geneva for NBC's "Today" show.

ABC's "Good Morning America" is hiring Marshall I. Goldman, the acting director of Harvard's Russian Research Center, to do its commentary. Goldman will also appear on the evening news for ABC-affiliate WCVB-TV Channel 5 in Boston.

Professor of Government Joseph S. Nye will be appearing several times a day on local NBC affiliate WBZ-TV, Channel 4, and Gurney Professor of History and Political Science Adam B. Ulam may also make an appearance on Channel 4 at 6 p.m. next Wednesday.
