It is a sad day in Hanover as New Hampshire raises its drinking age to 21. How will Dartmouth retain its reputation as the most adept Ivy drinking school if only seniors will be legal?

Wait, it's the administration to the rescue. The Dartmouth reported that Chairman of the Alcohol Concerns Committee Steve Nelson said, "I don't think the College is going to do anything in response to the drinking age being raised."

"It is more divisive to the college community," Nelson explains. "A more realistic drinking age for a college community would be 18 or 19."

These stories were culled after an assiduous search from, in order. The Boston Herald. The B.U. Free Press. The Daily Northwestern, The BrunMawr/Haverford News, The Stanford Daily and The Dartmouth.
