While the Super Bowl and exams last week grabbed much of the attention, a pared-down version of the Harvard wrestling team participated in the New England Collegiate tournament Sunday at MIT.

The grapplers had to make do with a squad consisting of five varsity and five junior varsity members because several regulars had other commitments.

Nevertheless, the Crimson managed to finish fourth out of a field of 12 at the tournament.

The team is now 4-4 and has an important meet coming up Saturday against arch-rival Cornell. "If we could be 1-20," Coach John Lee said about the rivalry, "I would be happy if the one win was over Cornell."

The Cornell tournament will be the first Ivy League game for the Crimson. "It will be an important game," Lee said, "because we have a young team. We've come off a few good years. The Cornell meet is big for us."
