The Harvard women's squash team destroyed Brown, 9-0, yesterday at Hemenway Gymnasium. The victory upped the squad's record to 2-0 overall, 1-0 Ivy.

Harvard took less than an hour to wrap up its second consecutive triumph of the young season, losing only one set during the entire competition. Fern Ward's 15-4, 15-10, 15-8, decision over Brown's Laura Rich in the fifth match clinched the victory.

Freshman Marianna Chilton, one of four Yardlings to compete for Harvard, opened the massacre with a 3-0 thrashing of Brown's Alix Noel.

After sitting out last week, Crimson Co-Captains Diana Edge and Ingrid Boyum opened their regular-season action with wins. Number two Boyum whipped Bruin Lexi Hager, 15-4, 15-6, 15-4, while Edge--playing at number one--trounced Sue Catten in three straight sets, 15-11, 15-10, 15-6. Edge's victory put the Crimson up, 8-0.

In the last, and most exciting, match of the day, Harvard freshman Jenny Holleran squeaked to a 15-11, 13-15, 15-10, 15-10, victory, closing out the sweep.

The Crimson's number 10, 11 and 12 players also recorded straight-set victories over their Brown counterparts yesterday, but the games were not official because regulation squash dual matches follow a nine game format.

The racquetwomen face their toughest competition of the season Tuesday, when they travel to face Trinity.
