Five members of the Harvard rugby football club have been selected to the All-Eastern select-side.
Fullback Bruce Miller, lock James Keller, center Scott Tierney, prop Jon Greenberg and scrum-half Mike Gibbs all earned spots on the All-Eastern squad, which represents 27 states on the East Coast. Center Scott Hilinski was named as an alternate.
The road to the All-Eastern side began last month when the five players were among 80 to be selected to the New England select-side.
They played in three games against men's club sides, capped off two weeks ago with a 48-0 victory over the New York all-stars in Philadelphia. The squad has been whittled to 30 players.
The All-Eastern side will next fly to New Orleans to train for the Battle of New Orleans Rugby Tournament (January 25-29).
In June, the select-side will play in the Inter-Territorial Tournament in Denver, Colorado. The four regions--East, Pacific, Modest and West--will compete, with the Eastern region meeting the Pacific region.
