* U.S. and allied pilots continued to do major damage to Iraqi positions, knocking out a Scud launcher, sinking a patrol boat and raining shellfire on troops. A major Bagdad bridge that crosses the Tigris River was destroyed, killing and injuring many civilians, Iraq said.
