OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jay Fiedler, Dartmouth QB (Sr., 6-1, 220) Oceanside, N.Y.
His team trailing by a 21-6 score in the second half, Fiedler led Dartmouth on a comeback that kept title hopes alive in Hanover. He was 17 of 23 for 233 yards in the second half alone and threw the game-winning touchdown pass--a 29-yarder--with about five minutes to play. He was 23 of 35 for 341 yards and three touchdowns during his best afternoon of the season. The 341 yards are the third-most in school history, and Fiedler has the top two totals as well.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Chris Zingo, Cornell LB (Sr., 5-11, 212) Fairfield, Conn.
The press box constantly called Zingo's name in a 25-tackle effort by the All-American. He came up just two shy of the school record for tackles, which he also holds. Zingo recovered a first-quarter fumble and recorded one tackle for a loss.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
David Sprinle, Harvard FB (So., 6-2, 210) Longwood Fla.
Sprinkle became the first running back to run for 100 yards or more against Princeton is 13 games. He ran for 107 yards on nine carries, including a 72-yarder on the third play from scrimmage. The long run marked Sprinkle's second over-70-yard run of the year, and the yardage total was his second over-100-yard game of the year.
