Harvard students went door-to-door this week (above) to raise money for a truck of relief supplies to be sent to war-torn Bosnia.

A coalition of minority students groups organized and then executed a protest during Junior Parents Weekend. It happened exactly one year after the Coalition for Diversity performed a similar protest and later demanded--and received--audience with Harvard administrators such as Dean of the Faculty Jeremy R. Knowles (right, after coalition meeting last spring).

Director of Human Resources Diane Patrick (left) announced this week that she would leave Harvard for Washington if her husband, Deval, is confirmed as U.S. assistant attorney general for civil rights. The loss could be a blow to the Office of Human Resource, which, until Patrick took the job two years ago, had seen six directors in six years.
