Junior Ian Carswell is turning into a Harvard running legend. Last year, the Canadian-native qualified for the NCAA Championships in three different sports: cross country, indoor track and outdoor track.
On Saturday, Carswell picked up right where he left off last season, placing first at the Fordham Invitational, held at New York's Cortlandt Park. He crossed the finish line of the five-mile cross-country course in 25:28--14 seconds ahead of fellow Harvard Junior Killian Lonergan.
Carswell is back in action at Cambridge's Franklin Park this weekend for the Boston Invitational.
