Salient Issues

TO THE EDITORS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then the staff of the Harvard Salient must stay awake nights dreaming of how they could become more like Peninsula. The late-November issue of the Salient focused on religion at Harvard. Careful readers will note that last year's final issue of Peninsula was devoted to exactly the same subject matter. Perhaps this lack of originality stems from the Salient's insistence on publishing so frequently, whether or not they have anything new to say. If they truly yearn to be a Peninsula-lite, maybe they should tackle issues that are more controversial than Crimson Cash or the future of Loker Commons. What's next? A Salient Enemies List that omits names for fear of offending anyone? Now that would be original! --Chris Griffith '97
