A Harvard graduate school student was robbed at gunpoint on Jan. 29 at 8:30 p.m. on Western Avenue in front of Charlesview Apartments, according to the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD).

The two suspects, still at large, exited a silver car and approached the victim, according to a community advisory e-mailed by HUPD to house masters and proctors yesterday.

According to the advisory, one suspect was a “black male, approximately 25 years of age, 5’10”, 180 pounds, wearing a black bandana and blue jeans.”

The other suspect was described as a “black male, approximately 23 years of age, 5’9” slim build, with dreadlocks and/or braids wearing a black bandana.”

The Boston Police Department is investigating.

“As always, when possible, walk with someone else, take the shuttle, stay on well-lit streets and be aware of your surroundings,” said HUPD spokesperson Steven G. Catalano.
