Regatta Features Six Races Today

The single sculls season comes to a close today with the finals of the Spring Regatta, in which six classes will row out of Weld Boat House, starting at three o'clock this afternoon.

"Badger" Brown-Serman will be favored to win the feature event of the afternoon, the senior singles, which is the only race to be rowed over the mile course. In last year's regatta Brown-Serman placed third to George Hurd, who is not entered this year, and Phil Wilson, now in Med School. Later in an informal Summer School regatta, he defeated Wilson easily over a much shorter course.

The results of the preliminary races held yesterday appear below. Those names marked with * qualified and will race in the finals today.

Beanie Gilchirst, out of Bert Haines' 150's, will be counted on to give Brown-Serman a run for his money, but it is thought that Gilchirst is too light to press him hard for that distance. Other entrants in the event are football manager Bungy King, Bob Meyers, and P. G. Sourwein, 2 G. B. S.
