Men’s and Women’s Fencing go 3-0 over the weekend with wins over Penn, NYU, and Boston College

The Harvard men’s and women’s fencing teams continued their recent strong play by defeating Penn, BC and NYU this weekend.

The men’s team defeated Penn 18-9 in the closest match of the weekend.

The squad moved on to beat BC 23-4 and topped NYU by an 11-point margin, 19-8.

The women’s team had little trouble with any of its opponents, taking down defending Ivy League champion Penn 18-9.

The Crimson women defeated BC 23-4, blowing past NYU by the same score.

The meets were the first action for the men’s team since Dec. 8, 2004. The women’s team defeated Cornell 21-6 on Jan. 30, 2005.

The Crimson women will remain in Cambridge next weekend as they take on Yale and Princeton.

The men’s team will be squaring off Yale and Princeton at home next weekend as well.
