Crimson Rolls to Third Straight ECAC Victory

PRINCETON, N.J.--Doug Rogers scored two of the Crimson's three second-period goals to lead the Harvard men's hockey team to a 4-2 victory over Princeton at Baker Rink on Friday night.

The Tigers led 2-1 at the first intermission after converting on both of their power play opportunities. But Rogers tied the game at 2 with a wrap-around backhand shot that found its way past Princeton netminder Zane Kalemba just 0:57 into the second period.

Paul Dufault tallied the eventual game-winning goal nine minutes into the middle frame, putting away the rebound from Chad Morin's blue-line shot. The goal was Dufault's first of the year after he missed the initial part of the season due to injury.

Rogers gave Harvard a two-goal lead with just 12 seconds left in the second period, depositing the puck into a wide-open net after Mike Taylor's shot pulled Kalemba out of position.

Ryan Maki also scored for the Crimson, notching the game's opening goal at 7:24 of the first period.

Kyle Richter started in net for Harvard and made 22 saves for the victory.
